My Advent Wish #11
As I plan, work on, and print my photographic projects I make notes on what works, how it works, and how I’d like things to work (for me). This post is one of my 2025 Advent Wishlist Calendar. If you are a camera/lens/accessory manufacturer, feel free to implement those ideas.
Dear Santa,
Everyone can benefit from a “sketchbook camera”, something light, preferably with interchangeable lenses to shoot ideas before I bring out the big guns (my GFX100S). Mine’s a Nikon Z30. It is a lovely little thing that is inexpensive, has access to the Z mount lenses and most of old lenses for non-mirrorless cameras. The kit 16-50mm zoom stays on it most of the time. The only issue I have with it is the sensor. 20.9 megapixels is just mean these days. So, please whisper into the Nikon managers’ ears my idea for a Nikon Z30f with a full-frame 45.7 megapixel sensor from Nikon Z7. No EVF, no other improvements, just swap the sensor. Keep it inexpensive and lean. Please?
